Project Overview
Emil Anderson Construction was selected for the design and construction of the Highway 1 Jumping Creek to MacDonald Snowshed Project near Revelstoke, BC. This four-year initiative will enhance 2.6 km of highway, connecting the recently completed Illecillewaet project to the Jack MacDonald Snowshed. This vital infrastructure upgrade will enhance safety and efficiency for travellers in the region.

Improving a Critical Transportation Corridor
The four-lane highway upgrade will enhance driver safety and efficiency with new passing lanes to ease congestion, a centre median, and roadside barriers to reduce collision risks. Key features include rockfall and avalanche mitigation, improved climate resiliency, and widened shoulders for active transportation. These upgrades will provide a safer, smoother journey along this critical section of Highway 1.
