Our History
Emil Anderson established Emil Anderson Construction in 1938 in Fort William, ON. After being awarded a four-year contract to rebuild the western half of the Hope-Princeton Highway, he relocated the head office to Hope, BC, and began expanding its services and geographical reach.
Today, Emil Anderson Group comprises six divisions, all distinguished by quality, local expertise, and comprehensive building services.

This includes supporting safe and healthy workplaces, fostering a culture of inclusion and respect, strengthening relationships with Indigenous communities, contributing to the communities where we live and work, and seeking opportunities to reduce our environmental footprint. At the same time, we are committed to strong governance practices that promote accountability, integrity, and responsible decision-making.

Our plan establishes priorities, measurable actions, and annual reporting processes that allow us to track progress, celebrate achievements, and identify opportunities to do better. As our organization grows, we remain committed to ensuring that growth is responsible, resilient, and aligned with the values that have guided Emil Anderson Group for generations.
Employee Ownership
For four generations, Emil Anderson Group has grown as a successful family-owned and operated company built on shared values, trust, and long-term relationships. In 2024, we expanded that legacy by launching ShareCo, our Employee Ownership Program, giving eligible team members the opportunity to become owners in EAG and share directly in the company’s success.
