
Brucejack
Project Overview
The Brucejack Access Road is a highly technical multi-year drill, blast, and grading project that supports long-term access to the Brucejack mine. The scope involves realigning 1.9 km of the two-lane site access road, including 150,000 m³ of rock drilling and blasting along the road alignment, plus an additional 220,000 m³ of embankment placement and quarry blasting to support earthworks.

- Required stringent technical planning and operational coordination to ensure safe and effective delivery in the remote, steep, and extreme-weather environment.
- After one year, EAC was engaged to provide additional constructability input on the final road alignment and rockfall and avalanche protection options, and to support budget and schedule development.
Strategic Hazard Mitigation
Through close collaboration with the client and project team, Emil Anderson Construction developed innovative, site‑specific strategies to address the site’s geotechnical challenges, aligning hazard‑mitigation efforts with construction activities to maintain safe and productive work. This integrated approach enabled the project team to successfully manage the site’s technical complexities and advance the work in a controlled, efficient manner.
