  • Senior Accountant – Land & Housing KELOWNA

    Emil Anderson Group, through its subsidiaries Dilworth Homes and Emil Anderson Properties, has been constructing communities in the Okanagan for more than 30 years.     About You

    Qualifications:

    • 1 year experience in landscape construction
    • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Teamwork orientated.
    • Must have excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • Be responsible and dependable.
    • Experience operating excavators and skid steers is preferred.
    • Ability to read and understand design drawings and specifications.

    Job Duties:

    • Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project.
    • Operate various tools and equipment, including chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
    • Mix, pour, and spread concrete.
    • Assist in the construction of walkways, fences, decks, posts, etc.
    • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning daily.
    • Perform land clearing activities.
    • Plant garden beds and lawns
    • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects.
    • Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying.
    • Assist foreman with job-related tasks.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to perform work activities.
    • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
    • Comply with all company policies and regulations.
    • Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

  • Landscape Superintendent FRASER VALLEY

    We are looking for a Landscape Superintendent to join our team in the Fraser Valley.

    The successful candidate should be a positive, motivated, outgoing individual who enjoys working outdoors, and has a willingness to work overtime when required.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years’ experience in a landscaping project management position
    • 5+ years in a landscaping construction foreman position
    • Post-Secondary degree, ideally in a relevant field (business, project management)
    • PMP certification or relevant experience in the field of construction
    • Experience managing projects from $20,000 – $1,000,000.
    • Take off and estimating experience preferred.
    • Experience in the Hardscape/landscape industry preferred.
    • Proven earthworks experience, and keen understanding of underground utilities.
    • Ability to read and understand design drawings and specifications.
    • Strong leadership skills, and the ability to problem solve and adapt to a changing construction environment.
