    Job Overview

    As a Business Software Administrator based in the Fraser Valley, you will support the administration and configuration of business software systems within Emil Anderson Group, including recommending, designing, and implementing new processes and workflows. You will help ensure smooth and effective operation of line of business applications concerning construction management, project and resource management, scheduling, safety compliance, equipment maintenance, stakeholder feedback, and more. You will work closely with different stakeholders to understand their software needs, implement new features and functionalities, and provide ongoing support and training to users at all levels of the organization. 

    Responsibilities

    • Software Administration: Configure, maintain, and update business software systems to meet the organization’s requirements. This includes user management, permissions, workflows, data integrations, and customization of interfaces. 
    • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and automation within software systems. Implement best practices and ensure software aligns with business goals to enhance efficiency and productivity. 
    • User Support and Training: Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot problems concerning business software. Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to ensure users understand and adopt tools as they evolve. 
    • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to software administration and operation, anticipating stakeholder needs and responding effectively to user support or data quality trends requiring attention. 
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with operations teams, management, and support groups like IT, finance, and HR to understand and diverse stakeholder needs.  Interface further with third party stakeholders, vendors and consultants as required to meet said needs.  Short-term travel to Kelowna to collaborate with regional stakeholders may be required on rare occasions. 
    • Data Management and Reporting: Establish best practices to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of business software data, and heuristics to monitor ongoing issues. Regularly review appropriate information to identify and rectify issues in collaboration with the relevant teams. 
    • Technical Support:In collaboration with the technology services team, provide occasional support of users or devices which are offline or otherwise inaccessible for remote troubleshooting. 

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience 
    • Proven experience administering and configuring business applications 
    • Understanding of database management and data integration concepts 
    • Experience developing reports and analytics using a modern toolset (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, SSRS, matplotlib, etc.) 
    • Proficient in troubleshooting software issues and providing user support 
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus 
    • Experience with Viewpoint Vista, ProCore, B2W, BambooHR, Bridgit Bench, Co-Construct, Salus, or Nektar is a plus

    Ballina Contracting is seeking an experienced Pipelayer to assist our construction crew in the Fraser Valley.

    Responsibilities:

    As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for working with the site Foreman and machine operators installing various pipe works, site grading, excavations, grouting, and other laboring intensive tasks assigned by site foreman/Superintendent. Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with all Health and Safety requirements.

    • Ensuring all work is completed within specifications
    • Maintaining all tools & equipment in good working order
    • Rigging pipe for hoisting
    • Installing all types of pipe ie. Watermain, sani, storm, etc.
    • Prepare and grade trenches (manual labour/ working with equipment operators)
    • Installing Manholes & Catch Basins
    • Work without constant supervision

    Qualifications:

    • Consistent and proven safety performer that is interested in promoting a safety-first culture.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
    • Acknowledge this position can be labour intensive
    • Fit for work and willing to work in all types of environments

  • Lead Estimator – Civil CHILLIWACK

    We are seeking a Lead Estimator with a background in civil construction and engineering.     Requirements:

    • 7+ years of well-rounded work experience in civil construction is required.
    • An advanced understanding of civil construction controls processes and work procedures is required.
    • Previous exposure to construction estimating processes and systems is preferred.
    • The ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications for different project owners and specification sources.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam (or similar) software skills are required.
    • The ability to work through problems independently and find solutions.
    • Committed to a safe and healthy work environment, with a zero-injury culture, and carries these values into estimate development.
    • Must value a respectful workplace environment where all ideas can be shared and acting with integrity, humility, and respect in all facets of work is required.

    Compensation $80,000-$120,000 annually.
